Nicole
Thomas is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and Massage
Therapy Instructor (MTI). She operates a private practice
in Houston’s
famed Galleria area. Nicole is a graduate of the Phoenix School of
Massage Therapy and Holistic Health in Houston, TX.
Nicole Thomas successfully formulated her Signature Massage, a blend of
Swedish, Deep Tissue and Reflexology. Each massage is customized to fit
the individual client. Ms. Thomas has also attended numerous workshops
and seminars to further expand her expertise on treatments such as Ear
Candling, Reflexology, Deep Tissue, Sports and Orthopedic Massage, Hot
Stone Therapy Massage and Body Polishing.
Inspired to become a massage therapist by her mother, a burn survivor, Ms.
Thomas experienced the healing benefits from massage and it's impact on the
spirit. She has
sponsored health fairs and seminars dedicated to wellness and preventive
care. She was the official massage therapist for the 2003 Houston
Stealth of the National Women’s Basketball League. She has helped many
rejuvenate from the stresses of daily life and rehabilitate from chronic
pain. She boasts dozens of salons, spas, hotels, businesses, celebrities
and professional athletes among her elite clientele.
With a background in marketing, advertising, and public relations,
Nicole began her career in the Team Communications department of the
Houston Rockets and Houston Comets. Prior to moving to Houston, she
worked on Capitol Hill as a Presidential Classroom Intern and Liaison.
She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she studied
mass communications with an emphasis on broadcasting. She provides
private massage instruction and teaches “Business Practices,”
“Marketing for the Small Business,” “The Power of Touch,” and
“Couple’s Massage: Intimate Interludes.” She publishes Touch
Point, a health and wellness newsletter. She is also a freelance writer
of community, health, wellness and lifestyle issues.
In 2005 Nicole completed her esthetics studies and will begin providing
skincare and facial services. She is a member of Associated Bodywork and
Massage Professionals (ABMP) and the Texas Association of Massage
Therapist (TAMT).
Nicole is a strong community leader dedicated to African-American
education, leadership and entrepreneurial endeavors. She is a former
board member of TGBTG and the Houston Association of Black Journalists.
She is a proud supporter of the Houston Area Urban League Young
Professionals, and is a member of Windsor Village United Methodist
Church. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, playing chess
and is a die-hard Houston Texans fan
